We've just returned from a week at JMC. I did the PADI OWD certification course with my kids, age 10 and 12. Ornella, Mere and Rodney were thorough and professional and coped well with the kids. We had our own masks/snorkels/fins but used their SCUBA gear, which was all in good condition and well maintained. Unfortunately the weather cancelled the chance to get to Namena after finishing the course, but the local sites were still great. Great dive trip! We had a fabulous day diving Namena with Jean-Michel Cousteau Dive Center. Diving Namena just can't be beat but the team and personal attention we received at Jean-Michel Cousteau made our day simply amazing. We had more divemasters per diver than any dive I have ever been on. Rodney and his team were great, they were extremely knowledgeable about the marine reserve, the island, and the surrounding communities. They discussed the importance of protecting places like Namena and provided their experience to the conversation. They know marine ecology well making the discussion and diving both interesting and helpful. Simply THE BEST! The Jean-Michel Cousteau diving team is incredible! They are experienced, informative and a pleasure to dive with. I have been coming to the resort for over a decade and got my resort certification at the resort when I was 13 - they have never disappointed. Rodney Simpson and his team of dive masters are great with everyone - beginners to very experienced divers alike.
